Okay so the image just made me giggle, but do you ever feel like everyone else seems to have all the answers and you missed the moment when the information was handed out?

The Medium platform is growing quickly with hundreds more writers everyday from all over the globe, and while that is brilliant news for us all, it does mean that as an editor of several publications and a nominator in the boost program, I come across tens of newbies everyday. And you all have similar problems.

All too often it feels like you are going through a process of trial and error to work out how to do things and navigate this new (to you) way of publishing your work.

I’ve decided to try and cut through some of that by putting all of my help and advice articles in one place, with the aim of saving you time, energy and frustration.

Don’t worry you don’t need to thank me, if you read these and apply the information enclosed to your work, you’ll make my editorial job easier!

So, let’s dive in.

First up, should you submit a draft to a publication or publish it on your own homepage beforehand?
