How To Stay Sane in America
It’s not you, it’s them
Having spent most of this year between America and England, I couldn't help but notice how much calmer people (myself included) were even here in London compared to big-city America. No one is loosing their sh*t in public, yelling, honking, or trying to kill each other in traffic. How refreshing!
While Europeans are busy measuring their happiness levels, in America, we’re just trying to keep it together, fighting for both our survival and sanity. Just spend a week walking around LA and you, too, will be shaking your fists and screaming at cars.
Unlike in “socialist” Europe, success in the U.S. is not measured in happiness and the common good but in individual achievements and stuff one accumulates along the way. In our dog-eat-dog country, every man is for himself, and that is a recipe for insanity.
