We rise to the occasion

Freedom is a huge ideal that speaks to many people around the world. My parents are WWII (1945) survivors. They know about the belly-feeling of freedom. I have friends in Croatia (1995) and Ukraine (2024). They know about freedom.

I have female friends who either chose to have an abortion or who chose to keep their child despite resistance from the father or others. They know about freedom. I have gay and lesbian friends who have families.

We all know about freedom.

My background is European. Our Dutch media are writing a lot about freedom these days because our new parliament is conservative right-wing. The political party of the infamous Geert Wilders, an anti-Islam populist, won the elections in a country that is rather liberal and progressive.

So, let me give you a feminine perspective from the other side of the big ocean waves. Freedom is an ideal for all humans on this planet.
