Timing is a vital part of planning. Often, it seems necessary to wait for the ideal time to take an action.

The favorable weather is necessary for taking off a plane safely.

Favorable health conditions is a must for a major surgery.

But not everything needs to wait for the right time and mood. Life is not supposed to be all arranged for a new journey. Just like we often forget our important things like wallets at home and still manage to survive the day.

Sometimes we do our best without the most necessary tools, which shows us, the perfect tools and elements don’t create the best crafts. It’s the wondering mind that doesn’t even know what tool is necessary but only focuses on the craft it is trying to produce.

Kazi Nazrul Islam, the national poet and a rebel poet of Bangladesh wrote, “you can take away my flute but you cannot take away my tune. I’m the source of my tune not my flute.”

What an amazing idea! It was not only an idea if you look at his life. Rather, it was an ideology that he had lived up to.

He was jailed many times for writing against the British imperialist power in Indian subcontinent and he kept on writing while living inside the four walls of prison.

It must have been quite disturbing environment there for a creative soul. But He did not wait to getting out of prison life for writing in peace. The injustice he saw there, inspired him to rebel even more against the oppressors.

Recently, I have watched a biopic of J.D. Salinger named Rebel in the Rye (2017). The movie also shows a similar situation. The author’s only published novel is the of The Catcher in The Ray, a classic work, was written on the battle field of WWII. The author character said, it was writing this novel that gave me hope and kept him alive during the dreadful war.

The best art doesn’t need the best facilities to produce them. Often the worst of times can lead us to produce the best of our works. We need to stop searching for the perfect timing, place, or mood and focus on doing what we want to do.

“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.” — Henry Ford
