Hi everyone, I’m very much the March Hare this month, running late, feeling overwhelmed and a little more scattered than I’d like. But I am here, and I don’t know about you, but spring sunshine does bring the return of hope for me.

I haven’t yet made Substack progress but it’s high on my ‘to-do list’ even if it might have to wait for the quiet writing months of summer. I will keep you updated here as we go.

Boosts are still lower than normal, but I can assure you I am still nominating, and I would urge you all to keep thinking about that second draft.

The questions that you should be asking yourself when you re-read your work are what is my message and have I actually gotten it across? Is there a wider societal perspective of this and how could I add that in to give more depth and understanding? Is there a different view point to mine that I could reflect on? And, am I present in this story and sharing something unique to me?

Life is hectic for everyone at the moment, so editing is light. We’re relying on you to slow your process down a little and let your work breathe long enough to get richer. We’re all used to speed and next-day delivery, but writing isn’t always best served with haste and quantity over quality.
