My Journey of 2023
The year 2023 was a rollercoaster ride, filled with myriad ups and downs, leaving behind bitter and sweet memories. Some days brought tears, while others filled with laughter, illustrating the constant ebb and flow of life’s unpredictable nature.
During challenges, I discovered that life is far from easy. It was in 2023 that I found myself grappling with moments of helplessness, surrendering everything to Allah when the path seemed impossible. Yet, amidst the trials, I held the belief that every problem carries an inherent ease.
This year unveiled the true colours of people, highlighting their unpredictable nature. It became evident that not everyone will understand your pain or difficulties, and sometimes, those closest to you may inflict unexpected wounds. People, it seemed, lacked mercy, often prioritizing their comfort over empathy.
In 2023, I faced numerous challenges, but the greatest blessing emerged in the form of my second-born, a precious baby girl who became my little piece of heart. Parenting, I discovered, is a journey of standing alone, finding resilience within, and navigating through challenges without the expectation of rescue. The battles of life, especially the most difficult ones, often need to be fought alone.
Sharing the joys of my second-born, I also encountered the harsh realities of pregnancy and postpartum days. Amidst difficulties and mental stress, I learned that societal expectations often downplay the struggles of this period. Yet, my husband stood by me, offering unwavering support and courage to weather the storm of parenthood.
As we faced the challenges head-on, we realized that time passed, leaving us stronger and more resilient. While acknowledging our blessings and the support of Allah, our daughter became the greatest gift of the year, making every hardship worthwhile.
Concluding my journey through 2023, I recognize the newfound strength and independence gained. This year taught me the importance of facing challenges head-on, emphasizing that self-reliance is key. Though people may leave, trust in Allah prevents a fall, and with time, handling challenges becomes second nature. The realization dawned that societal pressures need not dictate one’s path; solutions to problems lie within.
Grateful for a supportive husband and two adorable children, I reflect on the immeasurable blessings received. As we step into the next year, we remain hopeful for what lies ahead, knowing that challenges will come, but with resilience and trust in Allah, we can overcome anything.
