This Is How the Silent Suffering Through a Brazilian Wax Makes You Wiser
No pain, no gain.
There’s menstruation pain.
There’s giving birth.
And there’s Brazilian waxing.
We — ladies — deserve so many trophies.
If you’re as lucky as I usually am, you get a distracting playlist or a fun convo with the waxer while you suffer — it reduces the pain at least by half.
Last time I went, there was no music, and the lady wasn’t chatty. Staring at the white ceiling in silence was my only option.
Past the first minutes of discomfort, this experience got me flowing from one valuable insight to the other. I’m going to share them here — so you don’t have to suffer as much when it happens to you.
1. Your thoughts create your experiences
Suffering is in the mind
Once you stop giving pain the first place on your mind, the suffering in your body magically decreases.
The bad side of fear goes away when you remember that excitement also goes with it — or that you’ll get a worthy reward at the end.
You get a wax every month, and every month you feel the pain. Yet, the more you do it…
