My Writing Life in Peloponnese, Greece is full of adventure, successes, and failures — pictures by author.

Fighting FOMO on social media: “And of course, I’m failing fully on many fronts. And I’m not ashamed to admit it in public.” — Desiree Driesenaar, writer

My American friend Frances Michelle, also a failer and success-haver with me in Greece. This is our favorite sunrise spot in Paralio Astros. Picture by author with the permission of Frances.

Sun starts by fighting Mother Moon
For space and a sky place
He comes from clouds
Has never doubts
And when he shines
He leaves behind
Shadows, dark as shades

The shadows touch my heart so deep
I weep and weep and weep and weep
Until there is no salt left
in my neuropathy toes.

And when my salty tears touch waves
I’m her. My Mother. Gaia’s Earth
The big and small at once
The microbes in my daring guts
My mind walking on planets
of future tomorrows
