More than 150 hotels are currently at different stages of completion in Dubai despite the pandemic.
In 2021 alone, 79 new hospitality facilities will open, providing some 26,168 rooms to the room supply.
One of the most ambitious projects is Ciel Tower, a 360-meter tall building on the coast of Dubai. An 82-meter hotel for 1209 rooms will open its doors to visitors in 2023. In total, Dubai will see 48,410 new hotel rooms.
34 hotels for 8860 rooms will be opened in 2022, 11 more — in 2023, and 29 — in 2024 and the following years. 76 hotels will be four star, 77 — five star.
One of the largest projects are four new hotels from the Millennium Hotels group, for 1715 rooms.
The Yas island in Abu Dhabi is preparing to open the world’s first Warner Bros themed hotel in Q4 2021.
