Today we will have a look at a peculiar application of blockchain in a Chinese hotel.

The Shanghai Intercontinental will be putting cleaning records on a blockchain to help its guests feel more confident about the hygiene in the hotel.

The cleaning records include all the key hotel’s infrastructure such as air conditioners, pools and other public zones, and will be stored on a blockchain at one of the Intercontinental branches in Shanghai.

Guests will be able to scan QR codes located all over the hotel to verify when a particular area was last cleaned.
