Dear Moeda Community,
Thank you for your continued support. After significant consideration, and in full solidarity with our institutional partners and Bitcoin Suisse AG, we have decided to move the public ICO, originally set for July 28th, to August 28th. During the interim period, we will still allow onboarding and due diligence of investors via Bitcoin Suisse AG.
Why we’re delaying
- To avoid any issues that may arise due to potential network reorganizations or technical issues during the first month of segwit on bitcoin
- To allocate additional time to audit the ETH ERC20 token sale smart contract and setup appropriate multisignature wallets and custody services
- To properly service investors who have requested more time to perform due diligence on the project and meet the team
- To allocate additional time for marketing, community building, and localization in countries like China where we have received significant interest
Our roadmap for the next month
In the following month, we will be deploying a robust PR and outreach initiative to engage a wider pool of the cryptocurrency community, who want to help us make Moeda a reality.
Our mission remains the same. We are creating a community-focused mobile lending and payments system for underbanked communities, that will give impact investors real-time transparency into projects that align with UN sustainable development goals.
We will be working closely with our cooperative banking partners — UNICAFES — to plan, develop, and structure the MOEDA Seed Projects Program that will enable entrepreneurs in their communities to succeed. We are in currently development and testing phases of our mobile application for iOS and Android and API with CRESOL.
We extend our sincerest apology for this delay and hope our community — including those who have already contributed and those who have been watching the project thus far — understand our decision and will continue their deeply appreciated support of the work we have set out to do!
