Moeda Co-founder Isa Yu was invited to fast forward women’s innovation forum at the Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium in New York City, hosted by Seneca Women. Notable speakers like former secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, and former secretary Madeleine Albright, were talking about power, purpose and innovating through technology to design our future.

Founded by Ambassador Melanne Verveer and Kim Azzarelli, Seneca Women is a global leadership platform centered on the principle that advancing women and girls will fast forward us to a more equitable and prosperous world.

Former secretary Medeleine shared her memories of what it was like to be the first female Secretary of State and how women and technology are instrumental to developing foreign policy.

And Former secretary Hillary discussed championing women’s economic power growth with Reema Nanavaty, head of India’s Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA). They shared how micro lending is helping female entrepreneurs in India.

Moeda, the micro-lending platform that utilized blockchain technology to empower women entrepreneurs, clearly aligns with the goals of aforementioned dialogue. As women do not usually have equal access to resources as men do, Moeda provides more opportunities for women entrepreneurs, and applies blockchain technology to make the process transparent regardless of gender. Women entrepreneurs will have the capability to expand their business and scale with the help of investors on Moeda platform.

At the end of the talk, Isa introduced Moeda to Hillary. She believed that Moeda will distribute great impact in empowering women communities and provide them with more opportunities to access to. Reema from SEWA also expressed the desire to partner with Moeda to achieve financial inclusion in women community.
