• Moeda on Coindesk Moeda CEO Taynaah Reis and CTO Brad Chun are quoted on Coindesk article “Microlending Startups Look to Blockchain for Loans”. Moeda is featured as the leading startup leveraging blockchain technology and cutting the middlemen to make microlending accessible to underserved entrepreneurs. Also in the article, “in September [Moeda] processed a $50,000 pilot loan to a cooperative farm in rural Brazil, making it possibly the first-ever such investment denominated in a cryptocurrency (the project’s own Moeda tokens).”
• Co-Founder Interviewed by Newsweek Magazine Co-founder Isa Yu was interviewed by a reporter at Newsweek Magazine on how Moeda and blockchain technology can change impact investing. Newsweek is an American weekly magazine founded in 1933 and it has an audience over 1 million.Publishing will come out in about a week.
• Exchanges In Process The Moeda team is reaching out to top crypto exchanges worldwide for coin listing. The milestone at the moment is the legal opinion from the legal council regarding to the nature of MDA. We are working on it! But it might take a little bit more time to come out as Moeda is such an ambitious project and what we are trying to do has not been achieved by anyone else yet.
• Social Media Twitter Followers hit 3.8k, over twice the number from last week. Facebook followers hit 71k.

Product

Product Strategy

• Clarify Moeda’s value proposition based on the user research.
• The value proposition workshops lead to the development of an updated product roadmap proposal. More info will be shared in the following week.

Technical MVP

• The development team kicked off Sprint 3. Their primary focus this sprint is to add “Know Your Customer” (KYC) functionality to the mobile application. This week’s work focused on developing the wallet feature and an updated dashboard layout.
• The UI/UX team worked on visualizing and mapping:

Account types (individual and cooperative)

User flows (both individual and cooperative)

App IA Map (what section does what and what info does it provide)

Seed Project Pilot

• Mapped out five phases of the Moeda Seed Project Life Cycle: Selection » Grooming » Funding » Execution & Monitoring » Closure.
• Through this mapping, the team also:

Detailed the first phase of the Seed Project Life Cycle.

Confirmed the criteria which will be used to evaluate a Seed Project.

Began discovery work on the risk assessment process to be applied to the Seed Project pilot.

Initiated a relationship with the World Council of Credit Unions to develop a framework for designing Moeda’s credit products.

• CEO Speaking at World Economic Forum in Davos (22 January 2018) CEO Taynaah Reis will attend the World Economic Forum next January in Davos and speak on the panel Women Entrepreneurs in Technology.
