TL:DR Autowatch for JIRA allows you to automatically watch issues matching custom JQL queries. We now support creating globally scoped rules for adding watchers.

One feature that was highly requested for Autowatch for JIRA, was the ability to create global rules. Well, we’ve now delivered that feature!

Global rules allow you to add watchers for issues created in any project. Adding a global rule is easy! Just go to The Add-ons section on the JIRA administrator page and click on Autowatch Global Rules (Autowatch for JIRA Server).

For Autowatch for JIRA Cloud, you can find the Global Rules under the System -> Advanced -> Global Autowatch Rules section for the administrator page.

All global rules will impact all issues created for every project. They require the user to have the administrator permission to create the rule.

You can get Autowatch for JIRA here.
