Havdallah is a special time to distinguish Shabbat from the rest of the week, but it does require some hardware. Luckily, all of the holy items needed for Havdallah are just one click away on Amazon and other websites!

One of the pillars of the DC Jewish community is moving to Florida to get married (Mazel Tov, Melissa!), and she just so happens to love Havdallah, so we made Havdallah sets with her to honor her before she left to be with her basheret (soulmate). Now, even though she won’t be in DC, we’ll all think of her each time we make Havdallah!

I’ve included links to some of the specific items we bought, but there are tons of options out there to choose from!

Besamim (Spices)

From front to back: anise pods, cinnamon sticks, and cloves

Candles

I used Jewish Innovation’s Candle-making set!

Bracha cards

Kiddush cup

Havdallah includes a blessing on wine — we didn’t include cups in our kits, but it could be a fun addition. Below is a link to one available “Make your own Kiddush cup” kit, for those who may want to include this. https://www.tjssc.com/decorate-your-own-kiddush-cup-24/
