Here are some fun events happening in the Dallas area in July 2017! Register a MHWOW program on the Mintranet and go out and adventure this summer!
Line Dancing Lessons at Round-Up Saloon
If you live in Texas, there’s no excuse for not knowing your way around a country dance floor. The Round-up Saloon offers free line dancing lessons Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting at 8:30 p.m.
Dancers of all skill levels are welcome. Although dancing is more fun with friends, solo participants can join in too.
Tuesday and Thursday’s drink specials include $3.75 well and domestic long neck beers, and $1 jello shots. Make good choices. On Wednesday, the Round-up offers $5 “you call it” drinks from 8 p.m. until close.

Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5K Glow Run / Dachshund Dash at Frisco Square
Runners wearing flashing LED lights and bright fluorescent gear will light at the night in this 5K Glow Run. The run begins at 9 p.m.
As a warm-up to the Hotter ‘N Firecrackers 5k Run, dachshunds will race to earn fantastic doggie prizes in the Dachshund Dash. It’s fun to watch and the $10 entry fee benefits the Collin County Animal Shelter.
6:45 p.m. — Registration/check-in for the Dachshund Dash
7:30 p.m. — Dachshund Dash
9 p.m. — Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5K
10,000 Scoops of Free Ice Cream at Pegasus Plaza
Denali Moose Tracks Ice Cream is coming to Dallas on Tuesday, July 11, to scoop out free Mayfield ice cream, and for each scoop of Moose Tracks served, $1 will be given to the Salvation Army to help fund ongoing projects.Some Pertinent Links:
Throwback Thursday Movie Night at Sundance Square
Catch a fun movie classic on the plaza every Thursday, June 15-July 13. Movies begin around dusk. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a bite from Sundance Square restaurants (no outside food or drink allowed).

Dollar Day at Dallas Zoo
Join us Thursday, July 20, 2017 for our annual summer Dollar Day, featuring $1 admission and dollar deals. Dollar Day is the Zoo’s way of showing its appreciation to the community for support throughout the year. It makes the Zoo available for everyone and provides an affordable experience the entire family can enjoy.
