What does being a MHWOW host mean to you?

I love being a MHWOW host! The last two years have enhanced my ability to open my home to others, to share Jewish holidays and customs with friends, to meet new people, and to explore the DC community at large. I treasure the memories and friendships and the now-annual events I’ve developed along the way.

What is your favorite MHWOW program to host?

It’s a tie between my two annual events. For Purim, I host the Hamantaschen Extravaganza — I make a ton of cookie dough and invite friends (and friends-of-friends) to bring their favorite fillings. Every year there’s so many cookies, and new flavor combinations! For the afternoon of Rosh Hashana, I host Nosh-a-Shana — Once services end, I invite everyone to come hang out at my place, where I put out some nosh and turn on “Keeping the Faith”. It’s a sweet and relaxing way to celebrate the new year!

Thank you to Leslie for being an awesomely active MWHOW host!
