This past month, hosts from all over the world hosted over 280 programs reaching nearly 2,700 unique participants.
Here are just a few of the programs that we thought stood out. . .

Havdallah in Mumbai — Sydney Switzer

New Year, New You

“Attendees will create a visual new years resolution board with motivational quotes, images, 3D materials, and other mood board components. While crafting, we will discuss our goals and mantras for having a meaningful 2018. This will be the first event of a monthly Sunday Crafternoon series.”
— Danielle Brief, Philadelphia

“New Year, New You” — Danielle Brief

New Beginnings Shabbat

“The theme of Shabbat is ‘New Beginnings.’ I will have just finished my first week of working at Metropolitan Hospital. Please bring a story about a new beginning, big or small, and what became of it. The very first words of the torah are “In the Beginning” the hebrew is ‘Bereshit’ pronounced ‘B-ray-sheet.’ This is where everything starts. The narrative talks about how in the beginning there was chaos and then came light and then creativity. Also one interpretation suggests that all beginnings come out of something else and so the first letter of the torah is a ‘bet’ the equivalent to a ‘B’ the second letter of the alphabet, not the first.” — Deanna Goldner, New York

Kabbalat Shabbat in Berkley — Ari Eisen

Jewish Heritage Museum Visit with a Guest Speaker

“Early last month, I took a group of friends to the Museum of Jewish Heritage in NYC, to hear the acclaimed historian Deborah Lipstadt speak about the capture and war crimes trial of Adolf Eichmann, plus the growing revival of global anti-semitism. This unique event really struck a chord — as some of my friends have grandparents who survived the Shoah and others who are avid learners, Professor Lipstadt reminded all of us the importance of continuing to discuss the Holocaust and how we all must work together to combat the new wave of anti-semitism.”— Andrew Casper, New York

Pajama Party in Tel Aviv — Avraham Khazin

Growth Shabbat

“Starting off with Shvat conversation starters on ‘Growth’ at dinner. We can learn a lot from fruits’ growth and we will talk about it in reference to ourselves. Then we will head to the golf greens and enjoy the new month under the new moon and on the gorgeous green that comes with Shvat territory.”— Miriam Mosbacher, Seattle

MHWOW Quiz in Belarus — Taras Prakapenka‎
