Clean NFT Blockchain — Process of minting or buying artworks on Tezos

A. WHAT
Tezos is one of the most popular blockchains, which gained prominence in the past few months due to usage of clean energy (meaning less carbon emissions) vis-à-vis Ethereum chain. XTZ is the token used for Tezos (CMP as of 27th February, 2022 is 3.31$ / XTZ)

B. HOW
You need a Tezos-supported wallet to get to your first NFT either for mint or to buy.
Which Wallet -> Temple/Kukai/Sprite
Process -> Personally, I use Temple (similar to Metamask) — Google Chrome extension. Convert from fiat ($) to XTZ using Binance (I use this) or Coinbase, and then move/trasnsfer XTZ to your respective wallet for mint/list/buy.
Transaction Status -> To check transaction status (similar to etherscan)

C. WHERE
Some of prominent Tezos platforms –
HIC ET NUNC — One of oldest Tezos platform with more than 670k mints till date. Hicetnunc has all genres of artworks while more suitable for generative/interactive/ 3D artworks since the template is interactive friendly (mouse over animations are possible)

KALAMINT — Nearly 79k mints till date, Kalamint has all genres of artworks with more popular for fine arts, photography and other 1/1 artworks. Kalamint has better UI/UX vis-a-vis hicetnunc. “KALAM” token is credited to your wallet for every mint/buy on the platform which can be used for buying artworks or to swap within the wallet to XTZ. Email notifications were recently introduced for notifications including that of royalty.

OBJKT — More popular for auctions & collection feature (which costs 1 XTZ per collection). Also if you list artworks on hicetnunc or kalamint, all those appear in your wallet under objkt URL since it has cross-platform integration (as of now only 1-way).

FXHASH — Generative artworks-based platform, requires certain understanding of process to be followed to list artworks on the platform.

D. WHY
Community is very strong and visibility for artists and their artworks is relatively higher on Tezos due to:
a. Indifferent to gas fee — Mint/List/Buy all transactions across Tezos platforms cost anywhere between 0.08 XTZ to 0.4 XTZ which in $ terms amounts to few cents to maximum 1.5 $ per mint.
b. Artists generally become collectors due to most of artworks available under 5 XTZ (16 $ or so)
c. Editions are common which spreads the price of artwork (50 editions for 0.1 XTZ each which in $ terms — few cents)
d. Tezos Tuesdays — Clubhouse sessions — a confluence of Tezos artists and collectors, happens around 10 PM IST on Tuesdays; off-late being conducted on Twitter spaces. Follow Rene (https://twitter.com/nft4_art) to get to know next scheduled session.
e. Whale Tank parties — Twitter spaces where prominent collectors assemble on Twitter once in a while and buy artworks during the space. Follow Anubis (https://twitter.com/MoneyOverseas) to get to know next Whale Tank party.
f. Mojohead discord server — Join Mojohead discord, get to level-3 citizen by interacting with fellow artists/collectors on the server and share your artworks in respective channel and participate in shill-contest which provides your artwork to be bought by the project up to 100 XTZ per each month.
g. Twitter shill threads — search for #tezos on Twitter for almost daily opportunity for your artwork to be visible and also as a collector to pickup and support artists.
