One of the most loved hairstyles for a rainy day; the top bun hairstyle is not just easy to pull-off, but also keeps your hair from frizzing and getting rough.

As simple as it sounds, this style includes grabbing your hair on the top of your head and winding it up into a little bun. The highlight of this kind of a hairstyle is you can choose if you want to make it look neat or messy. All you need is a scrunchie and a couple of hair pins, if you want to keep the bun in place.

2: The Headband tuck:

This is a trendy hairstyle that you can do in just a couple of minutes if you’re either late to work or college. To start-off, you need an elastic headband/hairband and a roller.

First, you place the headband on top of your hair after which you gather the ends of your hair in a ponytail. Now, tuck these ends into the back of your headband. You can decide if you want it tightly bound to the band or hanging a bit loose near the nape of your neck.

3. The Crown of Braids:

Braids are the best solution to messy hair or bad hair days. They keep your hair in place and also keep them from knotting up. It also makes for a unique look that is sure to get some heads turning.

To begin with, keep all your hair to one end on the top of your head. Following this, split the hair, depending on the number and thickness of the braids. Finally, braid the hair individually and wrap each braid on the crown of your head. For a final touch, use a couple of pins to keep the braids intact throughout the day.

4. The Simple Tuck or Gibson Tuck:

The Gibson Tuck hairstyle may look a bit complicated but makes for the classiest look and keeps your hair from frizzing up in stormy weather. You can either go for a high, a semi-high or even a low tuck.

The first step is to tie your hair in a simple ponytail. Then you need to pull the ponytail making a gap into your ponytail i.e. a nest in between your scalp and the hair tie.

Now twist your ponytail around your finger and roll it up into the gap you made. The next step would be to roll the ponytail up until a ponytail holder or a clip can be tucked in between. Then you can use pins to pin the hair tie/ponytail holder against your scalp and keep the hair in place.

5. A messy ponytail:

An all-time favourite, the messy ponytail. It can make you look casual and laid back and if you do it right, can also make you look classy. If you want a messy look, you can puff the back portion a bit.

If you have layers and want to keep the strands of your hair from flying out, then you can go for either a hair band or a few pins to tuck them in.
