Amidst the outbreak of COVID-19, and things changing so fast, we are actively working to ensure the safety of our farming team in Cameroon while continuing to support our retail partners and local communities through this time of crisis.

With local healthcare workers working overtime, grocery partners across the country demanding intensive cleaning procedures and local families impacted by lack of income, the Moka Origins team has rolled out several new programs to continue Fueling Social Empowerment through the COVID-19 Crisis.

Local COVID-19 Relief Measures In the United States

  1. Moka Origins has donated 100 lbs of coffee to fuel frontline healthcare workers at the local Wayne Memorial Hospital who serve patients from surrounding counties in Pennsylvania and nearby states.

2. We are partnering with The Cooperage Project food drive to donate 100 lbs of coffee and chocolate to support impacted families whose children no longer have access to meals at schools.

3. With an unprecedented load on grocery store workers, we are shipping out complementary bulk coffee to our retail partners across America to sustain their efforts in stocking shelves and ensuring visitor’s hygiene.

Global COVID-19 Relief Measures In Cameroon

Our global humanitarian efforts are even stronger at this time, with an effort to support our farmers’ cooperative and communities around the Moka Origins farm in Cameroon.

  1. The Moka Farm is distributing 5,000 pounds of its own food crops to local farmers and communities in need who are impacted by the food shortage and price increase following the COVID outbreak. These food distribution programs donate plantains, bananas and other food crops which are great for immunity and blood composition.

2. Our team in Cameroon is distributing hundreds of bars of soap and launched social distance awareness efforts to educate local cacao and coffee farming communities on sanitation and other preventative measures.

3. Moka Origins has partnered with Himalayan Institute Cameroon to extended our community relief efforts and provide comprehensive public health education, greater sanitation, and food.

As the COVID-19 pandemic shakes up global trade, and traditional ways of work, Small Businesses must continue to support each other and the communities we work with.

Being a small company, Moka Origins relief efforts are a humble step in this direction, and with your continued support, we can continue to generate public health awareness and empower local communities in Africa.
