Drawing together in SharePlay with Flow

Our vision for Flow began with two essential ideas. We wanted to create a piece of infinite digital paper that nurtured your creative headspace, and a way for people to be able to share that experience together from anywhere in real time.

Building our drawing engine with Metal enabled us to achieve the first part. We were able to have high fidelity ink and drawing effects on a page that could seamlessly expand. Our customers love how this enables them to enter a true flow state and brings out their best work.

With SharePlay we can now realise the second part of our vision. Users can open Flow from a FaceTime call and have the same infinite space to draw, write and create in together. It’s effortless, and the experience of everyone’s contributions appearing on the page simultaneously is nothing short of magical.

There are endless possibilities for SharePlay with Flow. Architects can sketch ideas live with clients in different cities, or students can collaborate on assignments, mixing photos with handwritten notes and diagrams. You could call your grandma and colour in something fun together while you chat.

Our team works remotely from all across the world, and we’ve been getting together over FaceTime and using SharePlay with Flow to design our apps. We’ve never had so much fun coming up with ideas.

Download Flow v2.5 from the App Store and try it out. For help getting started, instructions are available here. We can’t wait to see what you create together.
