Inspired by the aesthetics of Germany’s Familie Flöz Company — a world-class benchmark in mask theater — Maestrino is a comedic meditation on improbable events and unlikely scenarios.

Masked beings visit Maestrino the clown in his dreams, while he rests after another day of failure, and invite him into a series of increasingly mprobable scenarios. A playful and dreamlike universe arises from the masks’ grotesque and clownish human expressions. Completely silent, the play invites children and adults to let their imagination run wild. Four actors from Cia. do Quintal take turns playing 13 different characters.
