President Donald Trump Bans Chinese Communist Party Owned TikTok and WeChat.

After months of debate within the Political and Cultural landscape on the current situation with Chinese escalation, President Trump officially signs the Executive Order banning Chinese owned TIKTOK and WeChat. Trump also ruled Microsoft will take control of the App by September.

This came after speculation of national security threats within Chinese owned apps like TIKTOK. This also followed the latest IOS update which gives the user a notification when an app operates whilst it is not open, in a bid for transparency by Apple. It was exposed that TIKTOK is copying everything you type, copy and save.

Considering the growing escalation with China and their denial of Uighur Concentration Camps, the prospect of a foreign and intercontinental enemy and rival having sensitive data about a mass amount of citizens is a scary prospect.

China have threatened retaliation but have failed on multiple occasions and it seems like the US government don't want to backdown so a possible conflict with China, directly on indirectly. With Chinese and Pakistani soldiers closing in on India (an American Ally) the prospect of war especially with the ban of their main public weapon against the US seems imminent.
