MOM AND POP was tasked with the spatial design for Design Xcel; the first ever joint-school design exhibition in Hong Kong organised by the Design Council of Hong Kong.

250 design graduates among the 16 partnering design schools in Hong Kong were selected to participate in Design Xcel, showcasing works that span across Graphics, Advertising & Visual Communication, Product & Industrial, Fashion & Image, Digital & Interactive, Architecture, Interior, Spatial & Environmental designs.

Showcased over 200 exhibits with space to hold various workshops.

Streamlining the space for a linear flow was our primary concern.

We proposed a plan to break the large exhibit area into smaller sections and arranged the exhibits to walk visitors through the design journey of the graduates, giving each piece the appropriate space and angle to be appreciated.
