San Diego is well known for their vast number of breweries. At the time I am writing this the West Coaster’s operational brewhouse number is currently at 154.

Some of the beer giants of San Diego include; Stone Brewing, Alesmith Brewing, Pizza Port, Lost Abbey and Karl Strauss.

Among this list of beer pioneers are the equally important craft beer bars that support them; Hamiltons Tavern; Manhattan Bar; Blind Lady Ale House (BLAH); Live Wire; Small Bar and O’Briens Pub.

One bar in particular that makes the list is Tiger!Tiger! (T!T!), which was opened by the same owners of BLAH in 2011.

T!T! encompasses the true meaning of community with their weekly events, award winning food and their dedication to only serving independent beer.

Quote from T!T! website:

“Since taking over our goal has been to create a warm and inviting space to hang out in while enjoying great indie beer and delicious food. We don’t use SYSCO or USFoods and we don’t have an ABIn-Bev account. Never have, never will. We make our own sausages and charcuterie, smoke meat, cook wood-fired sandwiches and only serve the best indie beers we can find. We source locally and seasonally allowing us have a solid selection of vegetarian and vegan options — which makes sense beings 2 of our owners have been vegan for well over 20 years”.

On November 8, 2018 T!T! celebrated their 7th year anniversary offering limited release shirts, glassware and cans of their anniversary beer “Hey Tiger!”.
