Why Are Conservative Guys Lying About Their Political Stances?
If you have to lie about your beliefs to get laid, you probably should rethink your beliefs.
My friend Vixen* sat across from her Tinder date and decided to chat about politics. After all, it’s a potential dealbreaker for any woman who wants to keep her rights intact, and if I’m honest, voting GOP is a red flag for most of us.
“Oh, I’m apolitical,” he said.
“Do you believe in a woman’s right to choose?” she asked, eyeing him.
“Absolutely,” he said.
She lifted up her phone, showing him his Instagram account. His gaze quickly lowered to the bar table.
“If you believe in a woman’s right to choose, then why are you calling them baby killers on your Instagram? And why are you saying only whores get abortions?” she asked.
He stammered something unintelligible as she got up and walked out the door. Shortly after, her phone lit up with messages about how he’s a “nice guy” and that she shouldn’t “discriminate against political beliefs.”
