“Definitely don’t worry about the first draft.”

“Just go ahead and write it. Get it out of the way. Just be done with it. Definitely, write what you know from the heart. If it’s not honest, if you don’t believe it, then no one else will. How can you expect anyone else to?

You have to write what you know, what you believe, what you love. What you know, what you believe, what you love. You do that, you can’t go wrong.”
