“Create language for and ideas around what you want to make, because you might be the only one who knows when you’ve made it.
You want to be able to stand up and say… ‘I understand that you don’t like it, you don’t want to publish it… but this is what I want to make. If this is not what you want, then I will find someone else.’
Just keep going. It’s such a weird, slippery, hard path.
The only people I know who have published books are the people who kept trying to write books.”
