Participation Walk-Through for Test ICO

Public MNZ Test ICO: Tuesday 22nd May 2018 @ 12:00 GMT.

The MNZ test ICO serves as an opportunity for future MNZ token purchasers to get familiar with the newly developed technology before taking part in the real ICO.

Below is a quick walk-through for the wallet for extra guidance (although it is highly intuitive so you shouldn’t have any problems).

Wallet Download

In order to ensure that our test users have access to the latest version of the wallet, we request that you download it directly from from GitLab.

Head to Gitlab and click on the latest version of the wallet for your operating system (available for Windows, Linux and Mac).

Latest Test Wallet Downloads Available on GitLab

The wallet will be downloaded immediately. It is a lightweight wallet meaning that next to no storage is needed as you do not need to download any Blockchains.

Create Passphrase

When the wallet is opened, you are asked to enter a passphrase. In Monaize’s MainNet version of the wallet, Komodo users will be able to enter their existing passphrase in order to gain access to their funds from a previous Electrum wallet for use in the ICO. For the purpose of the test, it will be necessary for all users to create a passphrase.

Click on « Don’t have a passphrase » and follow the simple instructions to gain access to the wallet.

Please back up your passphrase. If you do not have this you will lose access to your funds.

You will then be asked to confirm that you have this backed up. You cannot copy and paste it, so please write it down to verify immediately after and for backup purposes.

Wallet

The wallet consists of 3 main sections:

  • Balances
  • ICO
  • Withdrawal

In order to participate in the test ICO, you will need to get hold of some TESTBTC and/or TESTKMD. Copy the address and head to the faucet of the associated crypto:

For TESTBTC: Visit this faucet (can take 10 minutes to be deposited).

For TESTKMD: We have set up an asset-chain to function just like KMD on the TestNet — Visit the faucet here (usually arrives within 1 minute).

Once your wallet has been loaded with funds, you will need to wait for the ICO to officially start in order to purchase TESTMNZ tokens. In the « ICO » section, a banner message will appear saying when the ICO is going to start.

Buy MNZ

Once the test has started, simply choose a cryptocurrency with which to participate (either TestKMD or TestBTC) and how many TESTMNZ you would like to buy and confirm the transaction.

A popup appears to confirm the details of the order (including the early bird bonus that is applied).

For TESTBTC you will need to decide on the transaction fee (very fast, fast or low). This will determine the speed of the swap as a set number of confirms are needed for each blockchain — both MNZ and BTC.

Special Bonus Coupons Feature

MNZ Platform’s token distribution application boasts a special feature allowing for exclusive bonuses to be given to participants.

The bonuses associated with these coupons override any early bird bonuses that are in place at the time. For example, if during the first day of the ICO, there is a 30% early bird bonus for using KMD, the coupon replaces that bonus. Coupons are entered in the order confirmation popup.

Special bonus coupons will be tested during the test ICO. Details on how these are obtained can be found the MNZ Test ICO bounty campaign documentation. We will provide a lottery for acquiring testing coupons, more information will be provided in our community telegram or Slack.

Withdraw Funds

Once the ICO is over, the application serves as a simple wallet for sending and receiving funds. You may keep them in your swap wallet, or transfer them to cold storage. It is highly recommended to withdraw any funds that may be left in your wallet, even though they are secure on the Electrum server.

To withdraw, go to the to the « Withdrawal » Tab and select crypto.

Enter the address and click send.

Recent transactions are shown within the wallet below the withdrawals with the possibility to click on the transaction ID to see it in the associated blockchain explorer.
