NEW FROM BILL: Monday Dream Diarist

Each Monday I venture out to my car during lunch to grab a quick nap. I gently slide into the empty passenger seat, recline the backrest, and put the key in the ignition a quarter-turn to listen to 87.5. Eighty-seven point five is a local FM station broadcasting in Cincinnati, OH that is compelling because of its unique brand of radio static. The static is unpleasant and frequent; fortunately, the static also feels obliged to leave room for faint non-rhythmic clicking and pulsing low-frequency roars. The warmth of the car and the monotony work together to distract me from the remainder of my day. Ideal sleeping conditions. As you’ll see, these are also ideal conditions for wild dreams and a wonderful opportunity for a frightful retreat into the mind of a Monday Dream Diarist.
