How do you measure the efficiency of something new? How do you know whether you can rely on a friend or a colleague to get something done? How do you build credibility? How do you define what you or your company stand for?

Consistency.

Consistency is the opposite of convenience. It means to make a decision and test it out at all costs. This testing allows understanding of the minor tweaks required.

Consistency often also gets you peace of mind.

P.S: This musing was inspired by something my partner said to me about writing fiction. You can make the most bizarre rules in your movie/novel as far as you make sure you are consistent with those.
