Some of you may already know about this game. For the rest, the objective of Cows & Bulls, also known as Mastermind, is to deduce the secret number or letters set at the start of the game. It is extremely fun and challenging when played with a good opponent.

But the game also teaches us about the art of elimination- Of learning what won’t work or what you don’t want. When trying to create a system or solving a task or even choosing an outfit we are more likely to focus on what works. An analysis of what absolutely doesn’t work is more important- Straining out the waste leaves us with some of the best ideas to work with. These leftover ideas after a process of deduction can be refined to get the greatest of results.
