Your social media should assist you. It should be a curated feed of content that brings you inspiration, joy, or useful information. If your social media is not a positive force in your life then know that you can and should do something about this. It is no one else’s problem to solve.

For most of us these days, more time is spent on social media than interacting with our environment. It can no more be classified as ‘mind-numbing entertainment’. There are more than enough studies that prove that what you see on social media has a significant impact on your well-being.

You do not need to follow an account that brings you misery or stress just because you think you need to or because you think you will miss out on something important. You won’t.

I have not followed any news on the Covid-19 situation for at least 30 days now. And I am still healthy and happy (in fact happier because of this decision)

Today, go through your social media and remove/mute/delete anything that you know causes you stress. This also applies to news, Whatsapp groups, push notifications, newsletters, and even to this blog.
