10 Easy Steps Toward Energy, Clarity & Confidence
No person or circumstance can gift you or I peace, confidence, optimism, fitness, or self-efficacy. These attributes are the result of our choices and come from within. If we want things to be better, we have to act. If we want things to change, we have to change.
Responsibility and Positive Action Are Key
The way to change our lives for the better is two-fold. We can change our stories by:
- Taking responsibility; and
- Making substantive changes regardless of obstacles and critics.
Real change requires that we decide and act. Real change requires that we proceed like our lives depend on taking responsibility for ourselves and our positive growth. Innovation 2: Drink cold water.
2. Each day, drink 16 to 20 ounces of cold water before consuming anything else. There’s no hurry or deadline. Take time and drink at your leisure, but consume no coffee, food, vitamins, or anything else until you’ve consumed 16oz of cold water. Medication is the exception — take medicine as and when needed.
Drink cold water is about shaping and owning your mood.
Drink cold water is also about taking action each day to shore up your physical health. Water is critical to healthy mental and physical performance. Making cold water your first point of consumption each day clears the mind, lifts mood, combats stiffness and inflammation, boosts metabolism, and rehydrates very major system of the body.
