Short answer
Do not bother.

Long answer
Today everybody has a message. (Except for Bollywood songs). We are drowning by newspaper, electoral cabins in the street and most of all by advertising, all the way into our homes through our mailboxes and in our computers. In era when everybody has a message, it can be nice with art that shuts up. If you on the other hand have a message you absolutely want to spread, art may be an appropriate vehicle. But it is no way necessary. Mona Lisa, for instance, manages pretty well without a message.
