Growing a tech ecosystem takes everybody. Few people know that better than Lindsay Knight.

Knight is the Director of Platform at Chicago Ventures and works with more than 50 portfolio companies on matchmaking talent, marketing and public relations. In short, the goal of the relationship between Chicago Ventures and its customers is to “help them be successful.”

But success for her company’s clients is only one of Knight’s concerns. She launched Chicago Blend in 2018 to ensure the inclusive success of the tech industry. Chicago Blend is a collaborative effort of venture capitalists in Chicago who recognize the importance of diverse teams and inclusive environments. She’s part of the Ms. Tech Associate Council, a membership organization that helps “business women do tech and tech women do business.”

And she’s a speaker at Monetery, where she will continue promoting diversity and inclusion within company cultures.

“What Lindsay believes is so incredibly aligned with Monetery, we couldn’t find a better fit,” says Stephanie Atkin, Dwolla’s VP of Marketing. “We’re all in this together. People like Lindsay give us hope that we’re headed towards a more diverse and inclusive culture, both in tech but also in the Midwest.”

In 2015, Knight was selected as a winner of Chicago Inno’s 50 on Fire award in the investment category. Prior to joining Chicago Ventures in 2014, Knight spent time in the marketing department at Ocean Tomo and later joined CHOUmedia as Vice President. She graduated from Miami University in Ohio in 2006 with degrees in English/Journalism and Strategic Communication.

Knight is part of a Monetery speaker lineup that includes Martina Lauchengco, Operating Partner at Costanoa Ventures, Matthew Prince, CEO of Cloudflare and Albert Wenger, Managing Partner at Union Square Ventures — among others.

We’re better when we work together. Monetery is an opportunity to work with fellow entrepreneurs, investors and inventors to build value in the Midwest.
