Comparing to last quarter the order amount has increased by 567% and revenue by 851%. We have new clients, and our existing launched several successful new gear campaigns this quarter. Here are 5 things that helped increase the numbers.

Top products this winter: decals, enameled pins, snapback hats, and comforters/blankets.

#1 Black Friday weekend deals

December started off with a bang, riding Black Friday weekend and Cyber Monday wave. Some clients decided to launch new products at that time, others offered discounts to fan-favorites and they all won big time. Read more about it here.

#2 20% discount for 24hours after gear unlock

Introduced in December right before the holidays, developers can now offer a percentage discount for gear 24 hours (or any other hours, choose the time that best suits you) after it is unlocked. This helps create FOMO and gives an additional reason for players not to postpone buying game gear.

#3 Push notifications

Oldie but a goodie — one thing that never let’s down is a push notification. Especially for games with a strong following. Sending push notifications about new merch or discounts helped to skyrocket results. Remember and don’t underestimate the power of the push notifications.

#4 Bulk orders available

Sometimes we get requests from players who love the products so much, they want more of them and order several of the same kind in one go.

Some game studios also want to reward their employees with own gear and order them in bulk. See the spike in January? That’s a game studio ordering hundreds and hundreds of items to gift their amazing employees.

#5 Introduce new products gradually

Start slow. Give your players one or two products to buy. And in time, add more designs and products. We see that it works best. It’s like with new content inside the game — you have to keep adding it to keep players interested. The same goes for the merchandise. Start slow and then add more. This will help your game revenue more than adding many products all at once.
