Venture capital (VC) and private equity move new business ventures forward with stability and add outside leadership from skilled players. Incubators have access to many seed investors and venture capital investors as part of the structured process. Incubators offer advisory sessions with VC and Private Equity and pitch time. Microsoft offers one of the nation’s best startup business incubators. Most have selected lawyers to provide legal contracts and steer start-ups away from pitfalls and cliffs associated with new business ventures.

Some incubators offer experienced seed investors, VC, and angel investors as unpaid leaders with backgrounds in many companies and different industries. Start-up businesses gain traction, operating systems, and distribution channels that are proven. This allows a new business to use their amazing business contacts and prevent expensive mistakes. War stories from those experienced in start-ups which monetized their products and created strong brands can be invaluable for a newbie.

Forbes and Fortune Magazine are great sources of investing information. These magazine interview the seed investors and key business leaders for a story on the trials and successes of new business ventures.
