“Silent Covid” — Now 40 Percent Don’t Even Know They Have It
What This Means, and How to Move Forward
A new study is finding that up to 40% of people now with COVID-19 don't even know they have it. This means they have no sympoms, so they retain their sense of smell, don't get a scratchy throat or develop a cough.
They may not even feel a fever, yet they are still contagious.
And while the news media wants to cast more doom-and-gloom scenarios over this discovery, I’d like to take a step back and see the big picture.
I believe that when Covid first arrived, it hit the human immune system much harder as it was a brand new entity mutated from other awful things.
But almost 2 years later, we all know many people who caught Covid, or maybe we had it, or maybe we had the vaccine which prepares our immune system to fight the Covid proteins.
Whatever the case, Covid and humanity are slowly learning to coexist.
And while it's still an awful disease that has claimed 5.35 million lives (out of 274 million cases, meaning about 2 percent of people have died from it) there are signs that the severity is waning.
