We’re Now in “Peak Covid” — But Something’s Different…
America’s Greatest Spike is Here, but We’re More Prepared
The highly contagious Omicron variant has pushed Covid cases to their all-time high in America, now reaching 265,000 cases per day, according to the AP.
However, there’s something different this year. Let’s take a look at some numbers from this source:
COVID CASES in the USA
488,988 DEC 29 2021
201,030 DEC 29 2020
COVID DEATHS in the USA
2,101 DEC 29 2021
3,628 DEC 29 2020
Why these numbers are astonishing…
There's almost a 150% increase in cases, while at the same time 150% decrease in deaths. Amid this shift, there’s been one prominent change: vaccinations.
There’s also better treatment plans known, and things to avoid, as well as people who have developed immunity from overcoming the virus.
So while the transmission rate is at an all-time high, deaths are way down, which is how pandemics end.
