Creating weekly food menus

This will get rid of decision fatigue of “what to cook?” and prevent the urge to go out to restaurants. Going out takes the same or more time and of course more money.

Order grocery online than going to superstores

Walking in every aisle and linearly scanning items makes you buy more things than needed. When shopping online, your cart and amount spent are always in front of your eyes. You tend to prioritize and buy things that are absolutely essential.

Buy in bulk

This will prevent you from shopping every week and give you a longer runway on your shipping, handling and delivery fees. Prefer buying seasonal meat, vegetables, and fruits on sale.

Carry healthy snacks

It’s always a good idea to carry some fruits or healthy snacks with you. When you are full, you may not even feel like stepping into restaurants or cafes for quick bites.

Stroll in nature than shopping malls

It would not just benefit your health but will be good for your pocket too.

Potluck than restaurant meetings

Organizing potluck with friends is a good way to enjoy different kinds of cuisines without a big dent on your pocket.

Cook more often

Most often starting something is hard, but once you are in your kitchen, you are a creative artist who can do wonders. Promise your self to cook 2 meals each day and see how much money you can save per week.

Small changes in lifestyle count, so try to make small changes and start being aware of your food bills.
