The Economy
Everything Bleeds During A Recession
What Does It Mean, and How Can You Survive It?
The current economic climate is a cause of concern for many people.
Inflation is on the rise. The cost of living has increased. And the financial markets have taken a beating.
These troubling circumstances can make it difficult for many to stay afloat. Some people may feel like they are drowning. While others may be barely hanging on.
Either way, it can be a struggle to keep your head above water when the world around you is in turmoil.
It’s a common saying that “everything bleeds during a recession.”
But what does that mean, exactly?
In the economy’s context, it means that businesses, jobs, and wages all take a hit when things go south.
The average person is forced to tighten their pockets, making do with less. And investors are less inclined to invest in long-term assets because their attention is focused on the immediate economic reality and our uncertain future.
And we’re certainly seeing that now as the economy falls deeper into a downward spiral of no return.
