Where I went from nearly broke to newly minted NFT millionaire
Here’s the story of how I got into buying NFTs.
You know, static JPEG images people sell as art. The same images that anyone with half a brain knows how to right-click and save.
It all started when I was browsing the Internet for something to invest in. Crypto, altcoins and DeFi were the popular buzzwords. Reading about them made me want to get into blockchain projects, but I wasn’t sure how.
Then one afternoon, my buddy and I sat around in our boxers smoking weed in the living room of my parent’s mansion.
And through those THC-riddled clouds of smoke, my buddy awakened me to a whole other world.
“Bro, get into NFTs,” he said. Exhaling smoke.
“What the fuck are NFTs?” I asked.
He took another hit and then started in.
“Non-fungible tokens, man.”
Perplexed, I asked, “What kind of token?”
