Streaming TV viewers will buy products from the retail giant directly on their Roku-powered devices

Walmart, the massive retail giant, is constantly experimenting with new ways of online shopping.

They were the first online retailer to use TikTok’s and Twitter’s live shopping platforms. And now, they’ve partnered with Roku to let TV streamers buy stuff in a few quick taps from their remote controls.

The partnership between Roku and Walmart is expected to be a huge win-win for both companies. For Roku, it’s another way to generate revenue outside the traditional advertising model. And for Walmart, it gives them another avenue to reach customers and sell their products.

As for Walmart customers, you won’t even need to leave the privacy of your home, or whip out your smartphone or laptop, to make a purchase.

The best thing is that you won’t have to spend time trying to recall the name or brand of the product you saw on TV.

With shoppable ads, the time gap between seeing a cool product you want and purchasing it has been dramatically reduced.
