Imagine a future where people are so engrossed in a product that they can’t put it down.

Maybe it’s designed by Apple, Sony or Facebook…err, I mean Meta.

The product attaches to your head like sunglasses.

But the only problem is that you can’t see the real world anymore.

That’s because you’re locked into a virtual environment, entirely blinded from the outside world around you.

VR—virtual reality—headsets aren’t anything new. They’ve been around for many years now. And people have been leisurely playing with them.

And when I tried the Oculus headset years ago, I thought VR would be a fad.

But it looks like Facebook’s recent company rebranding to Meta and with them doubling down on building out their own metaverse—virtual worlds are rearing their ugly headsets again.

I predict the metaverse will be a fad and there will be no large-scale user adoption.

And the only people or companies pushing this type of technology are the ones who will get rich from the metaverse.
