Not the second, nor third option. You deserve to be somebody’s first and best priority.

© King Chris De Los Reyes

You deserve to be seen more than one sees another. You are worthy of all the appreciation, for you had always given all of you. You deserve to be the person to whom one offers love to, without thinking about holding back nor about what you have to give back.

You don’t deserve to be somebody’s backup when the person is left with no better choice. You don’t deserve to be a pain reliever after somebody bounces back to you after being proven as a nobody to someone else. You don’t deserve to chase somebody who is busy chasing another, leaving you as the only one giving life to your relationship.

You don’t deserve a relationship where there exists no true connection and where involvement is not a two-way street. You don’t deserve to be defined only by what you have to give, instead of your unique and inspiring way to live. You don’t deserve to be placed as a mere option, or worse, not even at least an option.

You don’t have to experience all that, just because you’re not somebody’s first.

You deserve to be checked on about how your day is going, if you’re doing fine, and whether you’re in need of a special company. You deserve to be loved, not because it’s the least somebody could do for all your efforts. Rather, because you are seen as somebody worthy of the best love one could ever give. You deserve the company of somebody you don’t have to pretend you’re someone else when you’re around with.

You deserve to be embraced in both your bright and dark sides.

You are worth making time and effort for. You are worth the compromise when you create mistakes in your worst days. You are worth understanding when you’re caught up in a bad place and you just can’t open up about everything you’re going through. You are worth cheering up after the hasty decisions you’ve made and you are never proud of.

You are worth being accepted for your true colors.

You are worthy of being prioritized even more than how much you think you deserve. You are worthy of the reassurance that makes you feel as if there is no other way you could be better at meeting somebody’s standards and expectations. You are worthy of somebody who makes you feel you’re the best in your own way, yet still gives you a lot of space for growth. You are worthy of being put first above all things simply considered as an It because you are a You.

You deserve to be somebody’s first because you are not an anything nor a nobody. You are a special somebody.

People come and go, but for at least once, you deserve somebody who is willing to stay for you. Things are meant to change, but you deserve somebody who is willing to save your relationship and to grow with you. Some people treat you a certain way only when they need you, but you are deserving of somebody who does not change in spite of a change of needs.

Good things can fall apart, but you are worthy of somebody who delivers you genuine love with consistency.

You may have felt sorry for giving, caring, and loving too much, but it is one of the most beautiful things about being You. It is the only thing you know…to give the best. People can hardly care half as much as you are capable of and that’s what makes you so special. You don’t let go of the easiest ones to let go and you love the hardest ones to love.

You are deserving of somebody capable of giving you not the third best nor the second best, but only the first best of who the person is.
