A Trendy Bistro In The Heart of Singapore — Social Bar & Bistro
Tucked away in the heart of Republic Plaza in Singapore’s CBD is the trendy Social Bar & Bistro.
Unlike most bars which often close during the day and spring to life during the night, Social opens from 10.30 am and even offers set lunches with options for all day dining.
We started the meal off with a creamy yet light Hummus (SGD 16) which we dipped our warm Pita Bread generously into.
We then moved on to the juicy Honey Glazed Chicken (SGD 22) which oozed of juices from the very first bite. It was served with creamy mashed potatoes, lightly seasoned seasonal vegetables and drizzled with a mushroom sauce.
We paired it with the Grilled Barramundi (SGD 24) served with a very crispy and unctuous crispy skin which gleamed under the lights. It sat on top a bed of creamy risotto with a drizzle of edible flowers and French beans.
We then washed down the meal with a couple of refreshing cocktails which we paired with some friendly banter. It is after all a bar.
Ultimately, it is definitely an amazing place to chill and find down after a long day through the fast paced working life of Singapore.
