Chef’s Call It Madness, We Call It Love
Today, I decided to dedicate a few posts for the adventurous yet cautious at heart. Have you ever had the longing to cook for your loved ones but had the fear of poisoning them instead hang over you like an overcast?
Fret not! I’m here to explore the wonders of using instant food (most of which actually taste good) to create a simple meal. My initial post will start from the basics and take it up a notch with some simple plating as we go along. Bear in mind these are for those with absolutely no culinary skill but with huge hearts for their partners.
Today, I decided to use Instant Ayam curry and coconut milk to make a simple Chicken curry. To add a little flavour and colour I sliced frozen crab sticks, chopped carrots and added some potatoes and tossed in some fresh chicken wings accompanied by some instant prata which I pan fried.
In total, preparation time was 10 mins and cooking was approximately another 10. I deliberately did not do much plating to show the end result in the event you do struggle with an artistic eye in the culinary arts.
Simple, fuss free, and it does taste good. Date night is not just about expensive flower and chocolate arrangements. What comes from the heart, that’s what sets you apart.
