Restaurant Review : Chong Kok Kopitiam

My Original Published Article on Eater : 38 Places To Eat in Kuala Lumpur 2022

This next restaurant is a mere stone throw away from the previous Bak Kut Teh in Klang.

They have been serving customers since 1940 starting out with a coffee shop on the ground floor, a restaurant on the second floor and a hotel at the top out floor. Although today only the coffee shop remains, they still maintain a very rustic atmosphere and feel with the wooden stools and stone top tables.

One can enjoy breakfast like a local with favourites such as creamy and flowy eggs served with cups of steaming aromatic hot coffee. They even have roti bakar served beautifully toasted with a rich and flavourful kaya jam between or mee siam, nasi lemak and various multi-coloured kueh for those with a bigger appetite.

Hop on down and let us know what you think! But do go early if you intend to miss the crowd!
